ELECTRIC AND HYBRID VEHICLE TRAINING COURSES
Working in partnership with ZF Aftermarket Technical Training, Autotech Training offers electric and hybrid training to give your workshop staff and technicians a complete awareness of the risks and hazards associated with HEVs and recommended safety measures required during maintenance.
We provide two levels of training for those seeking proficiency in hybrid and electric vehicle systems: the more basic ‘Electrically Informed Person’ (EIP) level and the advanced stage ‘High Voltage Expert’ (HVE).
EIP (ELECTRICALLY INFORMED PERSON) TRAINING
Blending theory and practical instruction, this course provides sufficient knowledge to take you to the ‘Electrically Informed Person’ (EIP) level of competence. You will learn fundamental safety procedures, such as following vehicle manufacturers’ protocols for powering down a vehicle and applying the correct barrier techniques to ensure electrical isolation so that the vehicle cannot restart unintentionally.
HVE (HIGH VOLTAGE EXPERT) TRAINING
Master a high degree of system networking and the different functions of mild hybrid, hybrid and electric vehicles. This training course covers everything you need to know about integrated, (partially) electrified drive concepts, such as hybrid and fuel cells as well as their high capacity for system integration. This is probably the most comprehensive level of electric vehicle systems training available in the UK, and is the same as that provided to ZF research and development staff and to certain vehicle manufacturers’ production line technicians.
