As demand for our services increases, we have recently made moves to develop our management and internal team in a bid to remain efficient and offer the best employment solutions for our rapidly growing client and contractor base.
Following on from the announcement that we have enhanced our management team with the appointments of automotive industry expert, Simon King and recruitment industry professional Graham Palfery-Smith, we are delighted to reveal that we have also created two new business development positions.
In a bid to streamline growth within the automotive aftermarket and with OEMs, we have appointed Alistair MacDonald as Aftermarket Business Development Manager, while James Mackay has been promoted to OEM Business Development Manager.
Fresh from the engineering industry, managing accounts such as Correa and Star GB, Alistair will take the helm across all retail accounts. Our recent partnership with In‘n’Out Autocentres, which has seen us appointed to fulfil all of the MOT, service and car maintenance specialist’s permanent recruitment and training needs, is testament to our ability to create bespoke employment solutions for the aftermarket.

James Mackay, who has successfully headed up our Manufacturer Led Programme (MLP), will now manage all automotive OEM relationships. Designed to significantly cut the time it takes to employ temporary vehicle technicians throughout a manufacturer’s retail network, while improving service capacity, and counteracting the financial losses caused by empty service bays, MLP has helped cover over 50,000 working hours for manufactures in the first half of 2019.
In addition to the Business Development team, we have boosted our entire team of recruitment consultants to 11, with the appointment of Ollie O’Dell. We now have a clear team of experienced consultants working across the North, South and Central England.
Testament to our continued growth, in the first quarter of 2019 our network of vehicle technicians and MOT testers covered a staggering 113% more hours than in the same period last year, demand from our clients rose by 73% and we now work with 80% of Motor Trader’s Top 100 dealerships, which is double the number we worked with last year. Now, the re-shaping of our core team is an integral step forward and will underpin our future growth.
