The Clock is Ticking for Annual Training – Let Autotech Training Guide the Way

As part of their aim to modernise the MOT scheme, in April 2016 the DVSA announced plans to change the way MOT training is carried out. The original MOT tester refresher course was replaced with the annual training (CPD). Under this new legislation, each year, between April and March, every MOT tester must complete the annual training which incorporates 3 hours of MOT training and an annual exam. It is essential that all MOT testers comply by the 31st March deadline as failure to do so could result in suspension of an MOT tester’s license.

As the UK’s only specialist agency to supply temporary and permanent MOT testers and technicians, Autotech Recruit launched its specialist training division in a direct bid to help VTSs ensure that they remain fully compliant with the current legislation within the MOT scheme. Specialising in Vehicle Testing Station consultancy, MOT CPD, and online assessments, Autotech Training utilises field-based consultants who are all highly experienced MOT professionals.

With minimum interruption to a working day, Autotech Training consultants will visit a site, carry out a full site audit, then implement CPD and online assessment with every MOT tester. As part of the package a VTS’s needs analysis will be undertaken, providing a garage with vital information to help develop and make their Vehicle Testing Station more efficient and profitable.

Autotech Training can also start you on an exciting journey into becoming an MOT Tester, offering guidance, support and access to a network of carefully selected training providers.
