We’re excited to see what 2019 brings after a hugely successful year in 2018. One of the driving forces behind last year’s accomplishments was the commitment and loyalty of our network of fantastic freelance vehicle technicians and MOT testers across the UK. We decided that the best way to recognise the achievements of our contractors would be to acknowledge them with awards celebrating their contribution to our business, not only in terms of doing a really great job but also for proving that freelancing is a rewarding career choice in the motor trade.
So, on top of the Star Contractor of the Year Award 2018 presented to Matthew Dann, it gives us great pleasure to congratulate ten more contractors on winning the following accolades:
Idnan Maroof – Timesheet Ninja
Idnan was by far the master of the timesheet, maintaining a 100% on-time record throughout the year! He also received rave reviews from clients and has been a great contractor for us since joining. We’re happy to have you on board, Idnan!
Paul Baker – Standout MOT
Paul takes the prize for standout MOT for the absolutely stunning Aston Martin DB5 he shared with us earlier in the year. We’re always happy to keep up to date with the work our contractors do, and we certainly appreciate contractors like Paul sharing some of the amazing cars he’s come across during his work!
Trevor Robertson – Best Travelled Contractor
Trevor was an exemplary professional during 2018, and he takes the prize for travelling the furthest from home in order to work. His attitude and commitment to his work show what can be achieved by contracting with Autotech Recruit, and that if someone wants to, we’re happy to find them work all year round. Keep up the fantastic work Trevor, we hope 2019 brings even more opportunities!
Lawrence Fernandez – MOT Ninja
This was awarded to Lawrence for completing a whopping 2139 MOT tests throughout 2018, an incredible achievement! We really appreciate all of your hard work and hope to see you achieve even more success in 2019. Congratulations, Lawrence!
Richard Barnard – Social Media Superstar
Richard was our most prolific social media poster during 2018, he not only supported the brand but also gave a great insight into the life of a contractor, not to mention giving us a fair few laughs along the way! We’re absolutely thrilled to have you flying the Autotech Recruit flag, keep it up, Richard!
Manesh Patel – Breakfast Guru
Manesh made us incredibly jealous of the breakfast pictures he regularly shared with us last year and we’re looking forward to more food envy in 2019! Keep up the fantastic work Manesh, keep those pictures coming!
Pete Owens – Marketing Legend
Pete was a huge asset to our marketing team during 2018, posting regularly on our MOT tester’s hub Facebook page and always being a great source of advice for other mechanics online! In addition to this award, Pete was also one of the recipients of the Special Ambassador award, for his outstanding commitment to the company and our clients. We’re so happy to have you on board, Pete, keep up the good work in 2019!

This was a tough award to decide a winner for, as so many of our contractors have been outstanding in their work during 2018. In light of this, we decided to choose three winners of this trophy, which we believe highlights the quality of our contractors and recognises their professionalism and commitment to their work.
