We are delighted to be named as one of the main sponsors of Servicesure’s 2019 ‘Autocentre of the Year’ award, as the national garage network kicks off its UK wide search following the success of this year’s win.

Servicesure, established in 2004 by the Parts Alliance, is the UK’s leading national network of quality independent garages.

Only in its second year, the ‘Autocentre of the Year’ award recognises garages, who are part of the Servicesure network, highlighting the many local examples of excellence. As a result of winning the coveted title in April of this year, Moduron GP Motors from Cyf in Caernarfon has gained nationwide recognition, leading to a surge of new work coming through their business.

As the automotive industry’s only recruitment agency dedicated to placing MOT testers and vehicle technicians into the automotive industry, we work with garages across the UK on a daily basis. We fully advocate the ‘Autocentre of the Year’ award as it underpins how independent garages are striving to make their businesses a success.

The motor trade has faced increasing pressure over several years, with an ongoing shortage of skilled technicians. As vehicles have become progressively technical, and electric and hybrid cars enter the market, the need for training has become critical.

Derek Crighton, Director of Blair Atholl Garage, one of four finalists, summed up the award: “It’s rewarding to see all the hard work recognised nationally. It gives us even more reason to be better.”

Investment in skills was one of the over-riding factors for the current Award holder, Moduron GP Motors, who continually invest in skills and training. Entries also focus on great customer service, new equipment or work within the community.

This year’s debut event drew tremendous interest from the garage network and the dinner and awards ceremony in April 2019 is promising to be ‘bigger and better’, with the winner being announced live on the night. Shortlisted garages will once again all be invited to attend.

Servicesure garages can enter simply by sending a short video explaining why they deserve to be Autocentre of the Year 2019 before the end of December 2018. Garages are invited to consider all aspects of their business when crafting entries to demonstrate ‘best practice in action’ – from the reception to the ramp.
