Our client is looking for an experienced Service Advisor to work for their prestigious main car dealership in Guildford.
The Service Advisor will be the main point of contact for Service Customers, keeping them up to date on the status of work being carried out, pricing any additional requirements notified by the technician and answering any questions regarding technical problems, warranties, services and repairs.
Working closely with the Service Manager, Workshop Controller and Technicians, the Service Advisor will demonstrate high levels of professionalism and exceptional service, to both internal and external customers at all times to ensure a positive experience whilst maintaining customer retention. The Service Advisor will have an aptitude for identifying the needs of the customer and opportunities to up sell.
Ensuring customers are aware of service and repair work required to their vehicles in a professional manner
Advise on estimated costs of repairs and work to be undertaken and sell additional products as appropriate to customers’ needs
Advise on timescales and collection arrangements
Produce job cards on in-house computer system
Update customer and vehicle records
Document all warranty work in accordance with manufacturer policy
Preparation and completion of invoices
Requirements for the role:
Previous experience in a Vehicle Service Advisor Role (1-year minimum)
Have a good knowledge of a DMS system (Kerridge or similar)
Excellent Customer Service Skills
Ability to up sell
Excellent Communication Skills
Full valid UK driving licence

Pay: £18,500 – £20,000 per annum (depending on experience) plus the opportunity to earn approx. £5,000 in bonus per annum
Hours: 42.50 hours 5 days a week on a rota basis to cover the opening hours
Holidays: 24 days plus Bank Holidays
