Terms and Conditions

  1. The “Upskill or Retrain as an MOT Tester” offer (“offer”) begins and can be backdated to the 1st of September 2020.
  2. Existing Autotech Recruit contractors: Existing Autotech Recruit contractors must have been contracting with Autotech Recruit for a total of 13 full working weeks before being eligible to take advantage of the offer.
  3. New Autotech Recruit contractors: New contractors must contract with Autotech Recruit for a total of 13 full working weeks from the date of their first assignment to be eligible for the offer.
  4. The offer to “Upskill or Retrain as an MOT tester” includes a full 4-day MOT tester course or MOT tester refresher course, free of charge for qualifying Autotech Recruit contractors.
    1. If the Autotech Recruit contractor had previously qualified as an MOT tester which has then subsequently lapsed for more than 5 years or has never trained as an MOT tester before, Autotech Recruit will cover the cost of a full 4-day MOT tester course.
    2. If Autotech Recruit contractor has previously qualified as an MOT tester which has lapsed but is within 5 years, Autotech Recruit will cover the cost of a refresher course including annual MOT training and assessment and arranging a demo MOT test.
    3. If Autotech Recruit contractor has minimum 4 years proven time served experience within the automotive industry, has contracted for Autotech Recruit for a total of 13 full working weeks and does not have a level automotive 3 qualification, to qualify for the offer, the Autotech Recruit Contractor must take an LVI course at their own cost and Autotech Recruit will then cover the cost of a full 4-day MOT tester course.
  5. Any additional costs, i.e. travel, hotels, etc. will be at the cost of the Autotech Recruit contractor for the duration of the 4-day course.
  6. If the Autotech Recruit contractor fails the MOT tester course exam, the Autotech Recruit contractor will cover the cost of the exam ‘re-sit’.
  7. Course locations will vary, but are likely to be in the East Midlands. Times and dates will be confirmed by Autotech Recruit at the point of qualifying for a course.
  8. Upon successful completion of the MOT tester course, the contractor is required to complete another total of 13 full working weeks with Autotech Recruit or be liable for a percentage of re-payment. If Autotech Recruit Contractor leaves Autotech Recruit within 6 weeks of qualifying, 100% of the course retail fee (£1300+VAT) will be due. If Autotech Recruit Contractor leaves Autotech Recruit between 6 and 12 weeks of qualifying, 50% of the course retail fee (£650+VAT) will be due.
  9. Autotech Recruit’s decision regarding eligibility of taking the MOT tester course is final.
  10. Courses are subject to availability and limited to maximum 12 course attendees per month.
